I offer a safe space for you to become who you were designed to be. As a person-centred trained counsellor, I facilitate your session with you in mind. You carry the answers to most of your anxieties and concerns, and I offer an empathic, non-judgemental environment for you to explore and help you become all you were created to be.
As a Christian, I believe your mental health is a vital part to living a successful and purposeful life.

My name is Richard Sterling, and I’m a qualified counsellor with a CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Person-Centred). I’m also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I know how powerful anxiety and depression can be, and how easily they can take the joy and meaning out of life. My role is to offer you a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly, feel heard, and begin to understand yourself more clearly.
Together, we can explore what’s going on for you, helping you reconnect with your strengths, values, and sense of purpose—at a pace that feels right for you.
Outside of counselling, I enjoy lifting heavy weights and taking care of my wellbeing spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I believe in looking after the whole person, and I bring that holistic mindset into my work with clients.
Counselling is a space for you to explore and process your feeling's, emotions behavioural difficulties in a safe, non-judgemental environment through talking to help you gain more self-awareness and learn to manage or resolve them. I am trained as a person-centred counsellor. I may use other modalities (e.g. CBT) exercises or techniques within sessions.
As a counsellor, I don't offer advice. Advice is usually given in a consulting or coaching session.
